The Amber Coast is a work of narrative non-fiction that unfolds against a background of true historical events. It is a compelling family saga that resonates with tales of peace and war, loss and displacement, immigration, language acquisition and culture shock. The author’s return to her homeland in 1990 just as Latvia teeters on the brink of freedom, brings to life untold stories and resurrects forgotten memories.
